BECOME A CLUB MEMBER

FIRST, Attend on Open House to learn more about our club and take a tour of our facilities and resources.

THEN, pay New Membership Fees here.


Membership Requirements:

• Attend an Open House (Open Houses happen once a month. Check the schedule or see our newsletter "The Mineralog")

• Purchase or Renew Membership. A one-time initiation fee of $30.00 is collected with your initial application.

- Regular Annual Membership dues are $50.00. (The total cost for a single Regular Membership at the time you join would be $80.00).

- Associate Memberships, are $20.00/year.

- Junior Memberships are $12.00/year. (NOTE: A junior membership must be associated with a regular membership; One regular membership is required for each family group).

- NOTE: To be considered for membership, full payment is required at the time of your application (Applications will not be accepted without full payment). Your completed application will be submitted for approval at our next Board of Directors meeting.

- Our membership year runs from October 1st through September 30th. (Annual dues are not prorated, but persons joining in June through September will be carried over through the next September.)

• You must wear your membership badge while using the shop.

• You may be asked to volunteer at the clubhouse to help with events and general maintenance.

• We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit ALL-VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. We rely on every member to step up and do their share in support of club activities, functions and events. Your commitment in this regard is implied in your application for membership. Membership is open to persons with an interest in rocks, minerals, gems, Earth sciences, lapidary, jewelry making, and all related areas of crafts or collecting.

Benefits of Membership:

Members in good standing are entitled to use the shop and receive instruction in various disciplines of the hobby. The nominal charge for shop use at this time is $5.00 per shop session. (There is also a nominal fee for the use of some specialized equipment, like the large diamond saws).

- Receive our monthly newsletter "The SFGMS Mineralog" filled with the latest club news and information, including exclusive information about upcoming Shows, Events and Field Trips.

- Attend our online Members-Only Zoom meetings.

- Admission to our yearly club related events.

- Admission to our popup events.

- Access to our Library and Specimen Collections.

- Use of our Silversmithing and Lapidary Equipment.
